We believe that the youth in our community are a valuable and powerful resource in their own development and should be an integral part in program planning and implementation. By developing our students to be leaders, thinkers, and doers we are preventing underage drug, alcohol, and tobacco abuse.
Our Mission
The Youth Connection (TYC) is a drug prevention and youth leadership project intended to harness the power of peer pressure-making it a positive force to encourage young adults to live free of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
Our Goal
Investing in our student’s leadership abilities we are empowering them to tap into their own beliefs and ideas by discovering creative strategies to make their future brighter. TYC’s mission is to help youth design a plan of action to improve their own community and engage other teens to stay substance free. It is only through engaging our local youth in problem solving that we can truly change the community we live in.
